This proud institution has served its community with distinction for the last 42 years moulding and developing future leaders. Thousands of men and women have passed through this institution who now make valuable contributions to the development of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa and indeed the whole world. Credit must be given to past Principal, educators, administrative staff, parents and learners. In particular recognition and credit must be accorded to the person that “laid the foundation” to this institution viz. Mr P.C.C.Nair, the first Principal of Meadowlands.A man who is well remembered for setting and maintaining excellent discipline and achieving high academic standards.
The school has changed direction in 1994, from providing a purely academic curriculum to a comprehensive technical and vocational programmes. Modern workshops were built to cater for learners to pursue careers in Electrical, Electronics, Motor Mechanics, Fitting and Turning, Welding, Plumbing, Woodworking, Computer Studies, Hotelkeeping and Catering and Haircare and Cosmetics.In 2007 the curriculum changed once again. The Technology subjects were streamlined into Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Civil Technology and Engineering Graphics and Design. Engineering Graphics
and Design also includes Computer Aided Drawing (CAD). These courses not only prepares learners to pursue their studies in the Engineering fields but also go directly into the job market and secure learnerships and apprenticeships.
