ANC Suspends Visvin Reddy
August 21, 2014
The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal suspended Visvin Reddy, it’s Chatsworth Branch chairperson after he remarked on his Facebook page that Indians who complain about the ANC government should go back to India.
His Facebook post read: “To you anti ANC commentators wait until May 8 … The ANC will still rule this country. You whiners should leave … Go to India and you will see what a good life we have here. Continue with your garbage and marginalise yourself further. Don’t blame the ANC, blame yourself. You have not yet embraced democracy. Only a foolish Indian in SA will not engage the majority constructively.”
An ANC spoksperson stated that his sentiments were racist and that the ANC do not wish to associate themselves with any sentiments that seek to divide its members on the basis of race, sex, colour or creed.
